Setting

Starting off exactly where the first season ended, Ah! My Goddess ~ Sorezore no Tsubasa is a nice surprise for all the series fans, specially for those who disliked the first season for having messed up and damaged several characters and their personalities. This time, Belldandy and Keichii romance is better portrayed and realistic, Urd and Skuld presence is a lot more developed and focused, and we have as an amazing extra the presence of two fantastic new characters (ok, you know them from the manga): Peorth, another goddess from a rival Goddess hotline, and Hild, nobody less than Urd's mother and mistress of the Demon race!

Pacing

Following the same approach of isolated episodes, AMGTV2 actually adds a few very pleasant arches, giving a better continuity sense to the series. We have an arch focused at Peorth, one focused at Skuld and her angel (!), and some arch and sub-arches focused on Hild having fun with the Goddess (After all, although she is Urd's mother, she is a Demon!) All characters are more captivating, but yet, Belldandy is still the plain non-existent character of always and Keichi is the moron we all know. However, since this season focuses a lot more on the other characters, it ends up being a nice series. If the first season was a drag of deceptions and repetition along the already overused Belldandy/Keichii romance, this time we have a lot of screen time for Skuld, Urd, Peorth and even Hild, which alone makes this worth the watch.

Conclusion.

Nothing above normal regarding the usual Ah! My Goddess series, but certainly better than the first season. For all fans, this is a must-watch series even for those who curse the first season for destroying Urd's character. For those not used for Ah! My Goddess, this is a nice call, and can be watched even if you have only a basic knowledge of what the plot is about (for instance, if you watched only the OVA, you can start off from this one).

Nothing really amazing, but also not a complete disappointment. The episodes focused on the secondary characters, and they are actually the majority of the episodes, are very much worth the time.
