With a light and warm pacing, nice plot and a pretty art style, Azumanga is done, and completely successful, to please and leave a nice feeling after each episode. The plot is nothing more than the daily life of its characters at their 3 years at college. There is neither romance nor intrigues, just the pleasant passing of time with the captivating relation e development between the characters.

Conclusion

Certainly one of the lightest and subtle titles ever, Azumanga Daioh's target is those who like to feel comfortable. The humor, always present, adds a nice spice to the 'adventures' of the characters, and makes this one of the most popular titles of this particular genre. A nice catch, for everyone.
